Mount Rainier NP 2026

My second time at Rainier. A sunny day on a weekend meant the trail was absolutely packed. Snow from the day before had left the roads in rough shape, and we ended up hiking the Skyline Trail over two days. Snow covered much of the iconic golden-red huckleberry foliage. Surprisingly, the leaves only seemed to turn bright red when the sunlight hit them at a certain angle. I couldn't find a good angle to get both the bushes and Mount Rainier in the same frame, but we really enjoyed the hike.
