Tokyo 2025

Tokyo is by far my favorite city as a transit and urban design enthusiast. It offers an incredibly extensive public transportation network with monorails, JR lines, subways, and the Shinkansen. They all running with amazing punctuality and frequency. Rush hours can be overwhelming, especially at major transfer hubs along the Yamanote Line, but traveling off-peak is simply a pleasure. I took short walks through neighborhoods like Daiba, Marunouchi, Jiyugaoka, and Nakameguro, and it’s impossible to pick a favorite. Each area feels equally vibrant, with walkable streets and thoughtfully mixed-use buildings that make the city feel so alive.
